Heather Templeton Dill, the granddaughter of the legendary investor Sir John Templeton, is the current president of the John Templeton Foundation, a $3.4 billion philanthropic organization that supports efforts to advance human well-being through rigorous scientific research and related scholarship.
Sir John established the Foundation in 1987. Heather served as a trustee from 1997-2003 and 2009-2015, and has been a member of the Foundation’s executive, finance and strategic-planning committees. She first joined the Foundation staff as executive liaison to the president in 2014 and succeeded her father, the late Dr. Jack Templeton, as president of the Foundation upon his passing in 2015. Dr. Templeton had served as president since the Foundation’s inception.
